On Sunday, there was a stir in an American Airlines when the engine caught fire after a bird hit the flight. After the fire in the flight, it was also made an emergency landing at the Ohio airport in America. In a video going viral on social media, flames and smoke can be seen coming out of the right engine of the flight.

According to media reports, a Twitter user shared the video of the incident and wrote, '@FAANews I just noticed some engine trouble shortly after take off on AA1958. Flames were coming out of the engine and there was a loud noise coming from the flight. According to the media, the Boeing 737 flight 1958 had departed from Columbus for Phoenix.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said that the flight landed safely. No one was reported injured in this incident. At present the incident is being processed. John Glenn Columbus International Airport said in a statement posted on Twitter, 'Emergency crews have responded to an aircraft incident at CMH this morning, reporting an engine fire. The flight landed safely and the airport is open and operational.'

 

Talking about the incident, a passenger on board the flight has told the media that he and others on the flight also heard a loud rattling sound in the flight. A pilot reportedly told him that he had hit a flock of birds shortly after takeoff. The passenger has also said that once the flight landed safely, everyone was evacuated. After which he was taken to another flight which left later in the morning.
