Telecom company Airtel has increased the NCF (Network Capacity Fee) charge, giving a shock to the multi-TV consumer. Multi TV users may have to pay 100 rupees for 100 channels. Earlier, consumers had to pay a charge of Rs 80. TRAI had said under National Tariff Order 1.0 that any DTH company can charge the NCF charge from its customer.

Airtel has increased the NCF charge. Now customers have to pay a charge of 100 rupees for 100 SD channels. Earlier, the company used to charge Rs 80 from customers. Apart from this, if customers take 25 SD channels with 100 channels, then they have to pay a charge of Rs 20 per one channel.

NCF charge will be taxed
If Airtel's NCF charge is taxed, customers will have to pay Rs 118 for 100 channels. On the other hand, the primary connection is available for users with a price tag of Rs 153.

Information related to National Tariff Order 2.0
According to a media report, TRAI will introduce National Tariff Order 2.0 on 1 March. During this period, changes can be made in the multi-TV charge, under which the DTH or cable TV company can increase the NCF charge on users with multi-TV connections by up to 40%.
