New Delhi:- Pedophiles use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to create and sell lifelike child sexual abuse material. Some pay subscription fees to access images on mainstream content-sharing sites like Patreon. Patreon said it has a "zero tolerance" policy for such images on its site.
The National Police Chiefs' Council said it was "outrageous" for some platforms to not take "moral responsibility" despite making "huge profits". And the government's intelligence, security, and cyber agency, GCHQ, responded to the report. "Child sex abusers are using all the technology, and some believe the future of child sex abuse lies in AI-generated content."

Creators of abusive imagery use AI software called Stable Diffusion, which is designed to generate images for use in art and graphic design. AI enables computers to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. Stable Diffusion software allows the user to describe the desired image using word prompts and the program creates the image.
However, the BBC found that the images were used to create lifelike images of child sexual abuse such as infant and toddler rape. The UK Police's Online Child Abuse Investigation Team says it has already encountered such content.
Freelance researcher and journalist Octavia Sheepshanks has been investigating the issue for several months. She contacted BBC through the children's charity NSPCC to publish her findings. "Since AI-generated images became possible, there's been a big trend going on. It's not just little girls, [pedophiles] are talking about toddlers," she said.

Lan Critchley, head of child protection for the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC), said such composite images did not depict real children, so no one was harmed. said it was wrong. He warned that pedophiles "can range from artificial ideas to actual abuse of living children."
Fans can support the creator by subscribing for access to the blogs, images, videos, etc paying $3.85 (£3) per month. The AI image generator Stable Diffusion has been developed as a global collaboration of scientists and a number of companies led by the UK company Stability AI. Several versions have been released with restrictions written into the code that control the types of content that can be created.
But last year, an early "open-source" version was released, allowing users to remove all filters and train it to generate any image, even illegal images.
