New Delhi: An All India Students' Association (AISA) activist has been accused of sexually harassing a woman on the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus. In fact, this information has been given in a recent statement on Saturday. According to the information received, the 'Concerned Women of JNU' said in a statement, "The accused touched the victim inappropriately without her consent and forcibly caught her from behind. The victim is also being told about conspiracies to defame her through her classmates and damage her credibility.''

The statement does not mention the date of the incident. Meanwhile, AISA said the inquiry into the complaint has been referred to the committee that recommends action against the sexual assault case. It is also being said that the accused worker has been asked not to participate in the activities of the organization. When contacted, JNU ICC Presiding Officer Poonam Kumari refused to divulge any details about the incident.

In fact, JNU's 'Dean of Students' Welfare' Sudhir Pratap Singh also says that he is not aware of any such incident. On the other hand, JNU AISA secretary Madhurima Kundu said that she has sent a message to the complainant and assured her of getting justice.
