Asian Games 2018: India wins its second gold as Wrestler Vinesh Phogat defeats Yuki

JAKARTA: Good news came from Jakarta when Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat won the Second gold medal for India. Vinesh defeated Yuki 6-2 in the 50kg category to bag the top prize and take India's tally of gold medals to two at the Asian Games in Indonesia. With this magnificent victory, Vinesh became the first Indian women wrestler to bag gold medal at the Asian Games.

Asian Games 2018: Deepak Kumar wins silver in men's 10m air rifle event

Wrestler Bajrang Punia won India’s first gold medal in Asian Games after defeating Japanese Daichi Takat 11-8 in Men's 65 kg freestyle event. He dedicated this gold medal to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Lakshay won silver in Men’s Trap while Deepak Kumar also bagged silver in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event to take India’s medal tally to four at the Asian Games 2018. Shooters Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar won the bronze medal in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event at the 2018 Asian Games.

From a Dhaba Sweeper to a gold winner at Asiad

Indian women hockey team has also stated its victory campaign by defeating host Indonesia. Whereas Pooja Dhanda started well by taking a 1-0 lead but the Japanese Sakagami came back strong to win the match 6-1.

In this Tournament India has bagged 02 gold, 02 silver and 01 bronze leading to total 05 medals.
