SC's decision banning sale of firecrackers should be implemented in other cities too: Ajay Devgn

Completely agree with the Supreme Court's decision of banning the sale of firecrackers in the national capital New Delhi, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn said, it should be implemented in other cities too.

Talk to media during a promotional event of his upcoming film 'Golmaal Again', the 'Singham' said, "Honestly, I don't know how much my perception of Supreme Court's decision on banning the sale of firecrackers matches with the people. But I do feel that it's a right decision. Rest the people will be able to tell better. The decision will somewhat affect some section of people, who earn their bread from this, but I believe this decision was the need of an hour."

"For the time being it's a right decision. I believe it should be implemented in other cities also," he further added.

For the unversed, the Supreme Court, on October 9, reinstates the ban on the sale of firecrackers till November 1. While delivering its order, the court said it wants to test the effect of the ban on air quality after Diwali.

The Supreme Court, earlier on October 6, had reserved its order on the review appeal over lifting the ban on firecrackers.
