New Delhi: Team India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane became emotional after scoring a century in a Test match. Rahane scored a century in the Antiga Test against West Indies after two years. Rahane said that it was special to score a 10th Test century after a two-year drought and he became a bit emotional after doing so in Antiga. Rahane played match-winning innings of 81 and 102 in the first Test against the West Indies, helping India win by a big margin of 381 runs in Antiga.

Rahane told the media, 'I think the 10th century was really special. I was not thinking of any special celebration, it happened on its own. I was a bit emotional. There was a lot of debate on Rahane's form before the Test series but the Indian Test team's vice-captain silenced his critics. Ajinkya Rahane said, 'It took me two years to score this 10th century.

As I said, the process always means a lot to me. Preparation is very important before every series. Actually, I was doing this for two whole years, so this 10th century was really important. India lost three wickets for 25 runs in the first innings when Rahane came out to bat and this batsman saw it as a chance to make it special for the team.
