Mumbai: NCP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar, has broken his silence on speculations of joining the BJP. Ajit Pawar said that he is in the NCP and will remain in the NCP only. Whatever the NCP decides, I will be there. Ajit Pawar had praised the charisma of Prime Minister Modi. Not only this, he also expressed faith in the EVM. Thereafter, Sudhir Mungantiwar, a minister in the Maharashtra government, invited the NCP to join the NDA. Since then, all kinds of speculations have been made in Maharashtra.

Not only this, there were reports that Ajit Pawar had called a meeting of NCP MLAs. He did not even attend the Pune rally of NCP supremo Sharad Pawar and MP Supriya Sule. After all these incidents, the speculation about his joining the BJP got stronger.
It is being told that Ajit Pawar, along with 30 to 34 out of the 53 MLAs of the NCP, can become a part of the Shinde-Fadnavis government. It is being said that Ajit Pawar is gathering support in the party to join the NDA. NCP leaders like Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare, Chhagan Bhujbal, and Dhananjay Munde have supported Ajit in this campaign.

However, many leaders, including NCP state president Jayant Patil, are not in favour of it. Sources claim that the Ajit faction has met Sharad Pawar and informed him that the NCP MLA is keen on forging an alliance with the BJP. However, Sharad Pawar refused to forge an alliance with BJP-Shinde. The same Ajit Pawar had said that the news was going on and that I had called the meeting, but this is completely wrong. I have not called any meetings. Regarding his not attending the rally, he had told that he was in the hospital to meet the relatives of the people who lost their lives due to heatstroke and the sick people. In such a situation, I could not participate in the rally in Pune.
