Lucknow: The Bharat Jodo Yatra being taken out by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will enter Uttar Pradesh on January 3 after taking a long rest of 9 days. During this period, even though this yatra will pass through only 3 districts of the state, the Congress has made preparations to give its message to the whole of UP. Non-BJP parties including Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, Subhaspa president OP Rajbhar have been invited to join the yatra.

SP's ally RLD's Jayant Chaudhary's participation in the yatra is believed to be confirmed. On Friday itself, he along with Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot held a rally in Bharatpur and tried to spread the message of snatching Khatauli from BJP far and wide. Rahul Gandhi's yatra in Uttar Pradesh will cover a distance of 110 kms during the course of 4 days in three districts. The yatra will enter Uttar Pradesh from Ghaziabad's Loni border. After this, it will pass through Baghpat on January 4, Shamli on January 5, and Kairana on January 6 to enter the Sonipat district of Haryana. These 3 districts of western UP have also been in the headlines for caste mobilization and for different reasons. 

According to Congress leader Anil Yadav, invitations have been sent to all the leaders of most backward castes to join them in the yatra. Extremely backward caste leaders including Rajbhar, Pal, Kushwaha, Nai, Banjara, Kurmi, Mallah, Kashyap, Saini, Shakya, and Chauhan will walk in the first line with Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi the leader of the most backward class will discuss his problems and issues. People from Dalit and Adivasi communities will also march with Rahul.
