Akhilesh Yadav and Swami Prasad Maurya's meeting is going on in the Samajwadi Party office. According to Samajwadi Party sources, Akhilesh Yadav has summoned Swami Prasad Maurya over his controversial statement regarding Ramcharitmanas. It is said that Akhilesh Yadav is angry with Swami Prasad Maurya's statement regarding Ramcharitmanas.

Significantly, the Samajwadi Party had distanced itself from the statement of Swami Prasad Maurya. Shivpal Yadav, avoiding the statement of Swami Prasad Maurya, had said that Samajwadi Party is a party following the ideals of Ram and Krishna. Although, Samajwadi Party's National President Akhilesh Yadav kept silent on the whole controversy, about which questions were being raised continuously.
