Lucknow: Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan, the leader of the Azad Samaj Party, recently met with Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party (SP). After his meeting with Akhilesh Yadav, rumours regarding a possible alliance between the two parties have started. Chandrashekhar Ravan, on the other hand, has stated that he is willing to forge an alliance with any party in order to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He also stated that it would be inappropriate to make any statements until the alliance was formed.

Mayawati, the leader of the BSP, might be the worst hurt by a prospective alliance between the azad samaj party and the SP to defeat the BJP. In reality, UP has a Dalit population of roughly 22%, which has a direct impact on numerous seats in western UP. Additionally, 85 seats are reserved for Dalits out of a total of 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. As a result, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has a large popular support in these seats, although Mayawati has struggled in both elections.

If Chandrashekhar Ravan, a Dalit, joins the SP, the BSP may suffer a significant loss in these seats as well. The Dalit vote bank is firmly in the hands of the two leaders. Chandrashekhar Ravan has emerged as a fresh face and a powerful Dalit leader in recent years. As a result, Chandrashekhar, who used to be a big part of the Dalit community and had a big vote bank, can go to Ravan's court. It's possible that the BSP will have to shoulder the brunt of this.
