Lucknow: The alliance between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections has yet to be officially announced. RLD national president Chaudhary Jayant Singh, on the other hand, has already stated that he will run in the assembly elections in alliance with the SP. Today, RLD President Jayant arrived in Lucknow and met with SP president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

The sp and the rld have agreed on seats, according to sources. Ralod plans to run candidates for 36 seats. Ralod was apparently looking for 50 seats, but the SP was only willing to give 30 to 32. There will be another round of negotiations between Jayant and Akhilesh, according to sources.

 

At the residence of the SP chairman, RLD president Jayant and Akhilesh met. Jayant captioned a picture of the meeting on Twitter, "Growing steps." After meeting Akhilesh Yadav, Jayant has returned to Delhi. According to reports, Jayant has made a demand to Akhilesh for Ralod to be appointed deputy CM.
