Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh CM and SP president Akhilesh Yadav once again accused the BJP government of insulting farmers. Recently, Akhilesh Yadav said, "BJP is good at doing politics that deviates from basic issues.'' At present, the biggest issue before the country is the Kisan movement. ''The BJP has been completely neglecting the long-running farmers' movement. The anna data farmer of the country has never been insulted so grossly in any Government. The BJP has cheated the farmers with false claims and promises.''

At the same time, he said, "The farmer has been agitating all around Delhi for the last seven months. Under the open sky, he is trying to convey his voice to the deaf ears of the BJP government day and night, endured the rain and sunshine. But the BJP does not want to listen to their pain and pain. Their attitude is completely insensitive. Hundreds of farmers have lost their lives. The BJP government did not even pay a silent tribute to him.'' At the same time, Akhilesh Yadav also said, "Farmers are not making any big demands. One of their demands is that the price of their crop should be MSP based and mandatory. Their second demand was that the three agricultural laws which have been forcibly imposed should be withdrawn. The BJP government is refusing to accede to the demands of the farmers under pressure from its patrons and big business houses. Farmers say the BJP's agricultural laws will destroy their ownership of farming, they will become labourers in their own fields. The farmer will be on the verge of ruin.''

Moreover, he said, "What an irony that the BJP government does not want to fulfil its promises. The BJP did not take a step towards doubling the income of farmers. He also did not keep his promise of giving a heeded price to the farmers for the cost of the crop. 1888 per quintal of paddy and Rs.1975 per quintal of wheat as there was no procurement at government procurement centres. Sugarcane farmers did not get arrears, no compensation was distributed to the farmers affected by natural calamities.''

He further said, "The BJP government is committing a serious crime of neglecting the mandate in a democracy. He has also given up the locality. The consequences of playing with the interests of farmers will soon be seen as agriculture contributes the most to the economy of the country. The Indian economy will not be affected by the wastage of farmers and agriculture. If the BJP continues to be a mute spectator to the Kisan movement, it will not be able to reach the threshold of power in 2022.''
