Lucknow: BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia on Friday attacked Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav, saying that we challenge Akhilesh Yadav on the issue of law and order and development to break his silence. At the BJP state headquarters on Friday, Gaurav Bhatia accused Akhilesh Yadav of giving tickets to criminals in the UP assembly elections and said criminals used to get protection in the SP government.

Bhatia said that in the SP government, when women were raped and the accused was caught by the police, the minister used to get a call that the spread should be let off because a criminal was his special. Listing the achievements of the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government, Bhatia said that today, look at the ruckus of the uniform, those who are called Bahubalis, mafias, they are in jail and their property has been confiscated, but earlier the uniform (police) was asked to find buffaloes, it was not the fault of the uniform, but they used to get a call from above.

Gaurav Bhatia, while showing the Samajwadi Party's manifesto for the 2012 assembly elections, said the SP had not fulfilled a single one of the promises it had made. Bhatia credited PM Narendra Modi for increasing the minimum support price (MSP) by one and a half times, saying the BJP government had fulfilled the SP's promise.
