Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav made a statement today. In this statement, he said, "Uttar Pradesh needs a qualified government, not a Yogi government. In fact, at the SP headquarters today, on Sunday, Akhilesh Yadav gave membership of Samajwadi Party to former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) state president RS Kushwaha, employees Joint Council leader Harikishore Tiwari, former Muzaffarnagar MP Qadir Rana and his supporters.

He spoke to reporters and said, "The Bjp government has no work, the BJP government only knows how to change names, change colours, change name plates, put on stools, put hoardings, sprinkle Ganga water, flip cars, remove photos, fill pockets instead of potholes. He further said, "These are adulterated, lying, smoke-blowing and tyre-laying people and the people are very angry with them, the state needs a qualified government, not a Yogi government.''

Meanwhile, the SP President cornered the government over the rising prices of petrol, diesel and LPG and said, "Petrol crossed 100 rupees in Lucknow as well as in many places, people have to buy everything expensive, people are upset and bjp should answer people's questions. He reiterated his demand for an ethnic census and said, "Even during the Congress government, Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), Lalu Prasad Yadav and Sharad Yadav had demanded an ethnic census.''
