Lucknow: Preparations have already started for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections to be held in 2022. This time all the big parties are focusing towards the smaller parties. The Samajwadi Party (SP) has also decided not to form an alliance with the larger parties and to contest elections with smaller parties. This has been confirmed by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav himself.

SP chief and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav said on Monday that our experience of alliance with big parties has not been good, that is why we will combine with smaller parties this time. Recently, the SP has joined hands with the Mahan Dal and left a seat for the Rashtriya Lok Dal in the by-election, indicating that they may join hands with Ajit Singh in the future.

In the Lok Sabha elections, Sanjay Chauhan of the Janata Party lost the election by contesting the election in Chandauli on a cycle and he is also active with Akhilesh Yadav. The progressive Samajwadi Party (Lohia), who made his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav's seat in 2022, has made it clear that he too can be adjusted.
