Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday also targeted the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), along with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which held power in Uttar Pradesh. After saluting Acharya Narendra Dev on his death anniversary on Saturday in Lucknow, Akhilesh has taunted the BJP and the BSP.

In the matter of supporting Independent candidate Prakash Bajaj in the Rajya Sabha elections, the SP President said that by supporting independents, we brought the truth to the public. He said that we have been able to reveal the truth of BJP and BSP to the public. It has now been proved that the BSP is the BJP's B team. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that those who have met quietly with the BJP from within. They needed to be exposed, hence the Samajwadi Party supported the independent candidate. Our motive was to get votes and people would know who got whom.

Akhilesh Yadav has also attacked BSP supremo Mayawati. He said that some people have joined the BJP. We had supported the independent candidate in the Rajya Sabha election to expose this. He said that the BJP can only combine anyone anywhere to remain in power.
