Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the situation over sofas is at its peak these days. In fact, on November 3, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav had reached the house of a victim's family who lost their lives due to dengue in Gija village under Saifai tehsil of Etawah. Meanwhile, politics has started on the sofa on which Akhilesh was sitting. In fact, Mukesh Batham, a family based in Village Gija under Saifai tehsil, has five sons.

Mukesh runs a small food and drink hotel in Saifai market to raise his family. At the same time, he does agricultural work. Mukesh's number four son was married 3 months ago, who died of dengue on October 20, which Akhilesh Yadav had visited his house on learning about. Mukesh Batham said that his two sons were married within the last 4 months, in which one son died of dengue, which led to the death of SP president Akhilesh Yadav at his house for a walk and the sofa on which he was sitting received a gift at the wedding of the same deceased son 3 months ago.

Mukesh Batham said that the second brown sofa was also gifted at his second son's wedding 4 months ago. Both the sofas found at the wedding were set and the table on which Akhilesh Yadav was sitting. Mukesh however said that hundreds of people in the village are ill and suffering from dengue. Akhilesh Yadav's picture of the same sofa was attacked by the BJP and the Congress. Youth Congress president Srinivas Biwi had hit out at where the sofa came from in a house where there is no plaster. Meanwhile, Mukesh has now said that he met Sofa at his sons' wedding.
