Lucknow: The political temperature rose in the wake of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Purvanchal Expressway, SP national president Akhilesh Yadav came in Ghazipur on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav lashed out at the BJP cant win in the election.

"BJP cannot bring prosperity to UP," Akhilesh Yadav stated in a statement.  He has already started walking before the election.' In fact, a video showing him walking behind the automobile on the Purvanchal Expressway, in which PM Modi was in the car and CM Yogi was walking behind the car, went popular on social media on Tuesday. The SP chief also mocked him while tweeting the video. "You have stitched our hospitality nicely, before the people you have made us on foot,' we travelled along these routes in a large way," Akhilesh wrote in his tweet.

In Ghazipur, Akhilesh Yadav was joined by OP Rajbhar, President of the Bharatiya Suheldev Samaj Party. In his address to the gathering, Akhilesh stated that change will continue in 2022. He has stated that the BJP did not conceive of the Poorvanchal Expressway. The socialists' ambition of linking Ghazipur and Lucknow was realized five years ago when the foundation stone for the Purvanchal Expressway was set.
