Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav has strongly condemned the arrest of a girl student accused of sexual exploitation on former Union Minister of State for Home Swami Chinmayanand in extortion case. Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Akhilesh said, "Ultimately, 'Beti Bachao' also proved to be a jumla."

SP national president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday tweeted that, " "Today all the daughters, sisters and mothers of the country are unhappy with BJP, but some people are saying ‘All is well in country’, this is shameful," he said. SP Chief alleged that the party's slogan of ‘Beti Bachao’ at has proved to be just another "jumla".

Earlier also, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had raised questions about law and order in the Yogi government. He had said that Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath does not know in which world he lives that he does not see the state's misery, he is lost in his own dreams. Let us tell you that Chinmayanand has accused the student who accused him of asking for money, after which the police are questioning him in custody.
