Farmers' Protest: Akhilesh Yadav become poet, slams BJP government

Lucknow: Farmers have been protesting on the road for the last 13 days against the new agricultural laws brought by the Modi government of the Center and today (08 December) they have called Bharat bandh. Large political parties of the country have given their support to this Bharat Bandh. Former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the government in a poignant manner. Before the Kisan Yatra in Kannauj on December 7, the police had arrested Akhilesh Yadav at his private residence.

SP chief and former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has slammed the government. Akhilesh, while sharing a picture of the performance in Lucknow last day, wrote, 'For the sake of our land, we will wrap up in the soil, will they deal with us?' Earlier, Akhilesh had announced a march from Kannauj on Monday in support of the farmers. However, Kannauj District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Mishra did not allow his peasant movement.

The police force was stationed outside Akhilesh Yadav's residence on Vikramaditya Marg in Lucknow on Sunday night, a day before going to Kannauj. He sat on a dharna outside his house on Monday. However, on the detention of Akhilesh Yadav, Police Commissioner DK Thakur said that no one has been placed under house arrest.
