The former chief minister and SP president wrote on his official Twitter handle that the global response that is coming on it has deeply hurt India's democratic image across the world. The BJP government should stop exploiting the farmers.'

Earlier, he also targeted the Modi government. Akhilesh wrote, "We will indulge in the soil for the sake of our land... What will they deal with us!!! " The farmers who are demonstrating in Delhi in protest against the agricultural laws have now approached the apex court. In a petition filed by the Indian Farmers Union (Bhakiu), it said that the new laws will make them a victim of corporate greed.

After rejecting several rounds of talks and amendment proposals from the government, the farmers have decided to intensify the agitation on the one hand, on the other hand, they have also resorted to the judiciary.
