Akhilesh Yadav will remain 'childish' throughout life: Yogi Adityanath

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has trashed as ''childish'' Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav's charge that he postponed distribution of tablets and smartphones as he can’t operate gadgets himself, and said that the U.P government has been using e-path as part of good governance.

Yadav is unlikely to be aware that I have been monitoring the operation of government initiatives using an e-dashboard installed in both my office and residence, said the chief minister.

He was replying to Yadav's claim that "since 'baba mukhya mantri' doesn't know how to operate a laptop or tablet, he postponed their distribution as part of the BJP's 2017 election promises in the state".  Adiyanath described it as an immature statement, saying Yadav will always be a "babua" (kid) and that "such comments are devoid of sanskar and sanskriti" (value and culture).

As part of good governance, Uttar Pradesh has made extensive use of information technology. The government has implemented an e-tendering method to eliminate "malpractices" that occurred during prior administrations, when middlemen would "swallow" larger portions of development project funds.

Adityanath said, online monitoring assisted the administration in streamlining the public distribution system as well as inadequate Covid case monitoring. He said that the Uttar Pradesh PDS system is the most transparent in the country because of the broad usage of e-platform.
