Akhilesh Yadav's Scheduled Visit to Mukhtar Ansari's Ancestral Home in Ghazipur

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav is scheduled to visit the ancestral home of Mukhtar Ansari in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, following Ansari's demise. On Sunday, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and current President of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, will depart for Ghazipur to extend his condolences to Mukhtar Ansari's family. It is reported that he will depart for Ghazipur at approximately 12:30 pm via helicopter.

Upon arrival in Ghazipur, Akhilesh Yadav will proceed to Mukhtar Ansari's ancestral residence in Muhammadabad to pay his respects. He is expected to meet with Ansari's family to offer his condolences, and there are speculations that he may also visit Mukhtar's gravesite. Akhilesh Yadav will depart from Lucknow and is scheduled to arrive at the helipad of Asht Shaheed Inter College at 12:30 pm, departing for Varanasi at 2:15 pm.

Stringent security measures have been implemented in Ghazipur in anticipation of Akhilesh Yadav's visit. Police personnel have been deployed at various intersections and main roads throughout the city. Akhilesh Yadav will be accompanied by a Z Plus security detail during his visit, and the district administration has bolstered security arrangements accordingly.

This visit by the Samajwadi Party chief holds significance in the context of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, as the SP has nominated Mukhtar Ansari's elder brother, Afzal Ansari, as its candidate for the Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat. Akhilesh Yadav's visit is perceived as an important gesture in light of this electoral context. It is worth noting that prior to Akhilesh Yadav, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi had also visited Mukhtar Ansari's residence to offer his condolences to the family.
