Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is preparing to show the strength of the SP even before 2024. He has intensified his campaign for the local body elections. The SP chief has nominated MLAs from his area to prepare for the municipal council and Nagar panchayat elections. Apart from this, where there are no MLAs, party candidates who have contested the assembly elections have been made observers.
In this regard, SP state unit president Naresh Uttam issued a letter on Friday (August 26). It has been said that all these observers will correct the work of determining and delimiting the ward in the extended and newly formed Nagar Palika Parishad and Nagar Panchayat. For the calculation of backward castes, we will correct the disturbances in the work of the rapid survey. The observers have been told that the work of increasing, deleting, and changing the names in the voter list will be done in the interest of the party.
Earlier, the SP had made its leaders and MLAs in-charge for the elections to the municipal corporations. The party's membership drive is going on a war footing. After its completion, these in-charges and observers will cooperate in the work of candidate selection. The party is preparing to contest the civic elections with full strength this time. For this, they have started making a strategy to reach out to the voters for the civic elections.
