Kolkata: Trends in West Bengal till around 1 pm have confirmed that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) led by Mamata Banerjee has won a big victory, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be shrinking before the 100 marks. Leaders of non-NDA parties are expressing happiness over Mamata's victory. Former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav, who visited West Bengal and supported Mamata Banerjee ahead of the polls, expressed happiness over the victory of TMC.

Akhilesh has called it a reply to 'Didi O Didi' sniping at Mamata. On the other hand, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar congratulated Mamata and asked her to fight the welfare and epidemic of the people. Akhilesh Yadav tweeted, "Heartiest congratulations to the conscious people, combative Ms. Mamata Banerjee Ji and dedicated leaders and workers of TMC who defeated the BJP's hate politics in West Bengal!  This is a befitting reply from the people to the derogatory dig at a woman of the BJP, 'Didi O Didi'. He used the hashtag 'Didi Jio Didi' with the tweet.''

On the other hand, NCP chief Sharad Pawar tweeted, "Congratulations to Mamata Banerjee on her landslide victory. Let us work together to fight the welfare and epidemic of the people.''
