Mumbai: Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar's new film 'Laxmmi Bomb' has come into controversy before the release. The makers of the film have now decided to change the name of this film to cool the controversy. The word bomb has been removed from the name of this film. The new name of the film will be just 'Laxmii'. Along with this, the makers have also released a new poster with the changed name. The film Laxmii is going to be released on November 9 on the OTT platform Disney Hotstar.

This film, directed by Raghav Lawrence, was sent for a censor certificate on Thursday. After the screening, the film was discussed between the filmmakers and CBFC. Keeping in mind the sentiments of the people, the producers of the film- Shabina Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar have decided to change the name of the film.

Earlier actor Mukesh Khanna also opposed the name of this film. He wrote in his social media post, 'Let's talk about the title of the film. Adding a bomb in front of Laxmi seems like a prank. There seems to be a commercial advantage. Should it be allowed? Obviously not! Can you name the movie Allah Bomb? Obviously not, then how Laxmi Bomb. Filthy people do this audacity because they know that there will be noise in it, people will shout then become silent but the film will be promoted.' The film has to be released.
