In a bizarre incident at Toronto Pearson International Airport on January 8, a passenger from Air Canada shocked everyone by jumping out of the cabin door instead of taking his seat on the flight to Dubai. The New York Post reported that the unidentified individual boarded the Boeing 747 like any other passenger but chose to leap off the plane, falling 20 feet to the tarmac and sustaining injuries.

Emergency services and Peel Regional Police were immediately alerted after the incident, causing a nearly six-hour delay in the Boeing 747's takeoff as airline staff attended to the injured passenger and investigated the matter. The Air Canada spokesperson confirmed that all approved boarding and cabin procedures were followed, and collaboration with authorities was in place to address the situation.

The extent of the passenger's injuries remains unclear, and it is uncertain whether the disruptive behavior led to an arrest.

In a separate incident a few days prior, a 16-year-old traveler on another Air Canada flight created chaos by assaulting a family member. This unusual event forced a dramatic detour and extended the passengers' wait by three hours.

According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Air Canada Flight 137, en route from Toronto to Calgary, experienced the disturbance. The Winnipeg Richardson International Airport was informed of the aircraft diversion at 12:20 p.m. local time due to an "unruly passenger on board who had assaulted a passenger," the report reads.

The 16-year-old was reportedly restrained by fellow passengers and airline staff, leading to the teen's custody and a subsequent hospital visit for a medical examination. The family member, who suffered "minor physical injuries" during the flight, also received treatment. The motivation behind the attack remains unknown, and fortunately, no additional injuries were reported.
