In the case of cinematographer Halina Hachins, who was murdered during the shooting of the movie, actor Alec Baldwin has reinforced his argument. Alec has stated that he did not pull the trigger in the incident that resulted in Halina's death and director Joel D'Souza's injury. Baldwin stated in an interview that he had no idea how the genuine bullet ended up on the sets of the rust movie. 'I can never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger,' Alec has stated. On the set of the film 'Rust,' actor Alec Baldwin was unintentionally shot.

A member of the film team has booked Alec Baldwin for the case. Assistant Directors Dave Hall and Hanna Gutierrez Reed were also named in the lawsuit. A charge of carelessness has been filed by a head electrician from the movie sets, according to court papers. According to media accounts, George Spaekoy claims that Alak Baldwin's bullet that killed Halina Hachins also hit Joel D'Souza. Surge claims that Baldwin, the film's star and producer, should have known that the fake gun was a weapon.

After the event, Halina (cinematographer) was taken to New Mexico Hospital in Albukirk. Their lives, however, could not be spared. In the hospital, the film's director is also struggling for his life. The investigation into whether the pistol used in the film was loaded with actual rounds is still ongoing. Most Hollywood filmmakers like to shoot a scene in their film with actual props so that it does not appear artificial on screen. The firing was done using a real prop pistol, but the bullet space was filled with blank cartridges.
