On Sunday, the Mexican Open final was played. In this match German top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas and German second seed Alexander Zverev played against each other to compete. In this match World No. 7 Alexander Zverev emerged victorious against his Greek counterpart to win 6-4 7-6 (3) in the ATP 500 mega event.

Zverev , after receiving the trophy at the Hotel Princess Mundo Imperial Arena in Mexico said that "This week has been one of the most fun I have had in recent months, the tournament showed that the public can attend sporting events," he further added that "When I have my chances, I need to close it out against these top players because normally they won't give you a second chance. I thought I played extremely well in the tiebreak, I'm happy with how it went,”  World No.5 Tsitsipas, who was one of the semifinalists in the Australian Open and Rotterdam this year, admitted that Zverev was the better player and won in the end.
