Amitabh Bachchan Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is one of the most-awaited Bollywood movies of the year. Ayan Mukerji directorial showcase, for the first time on the big screen, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor paired together. But did you know Alia may not necessarily have been Ayan’s first choice for the role. In an interview Alia revealed that she had pleaded the filmmaker to cast her opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra.

In an interview with India Today, Alia said,”The idea for Brahmastra was conceived long back when Ayan (Mukerji, director) had just done Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. I wanted to work with him and I have always wanted to work with Ranbir as well. I pleaded to Ayan that please cast me with him,”

Last month, the team of Brahmastra launched the official logo of the film. The logo too was a hit with fans who shared their excitement about the film on social media.

Brahmastra is fantasy film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar.  Brahmastra is set to hit theatres on December 20, during the Christmas weekend. The film has been produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and also stars Mouni Roy.
