Exciting news for Alia Bhatt fans! The actress is all set to start shooting for Yash Raj Films' action thriller, Female Spy Universe, soon. According to reports, the film's shooting will commence on July 15 in Mumbai, followed by a schedule in Kashmir and another in a foreign location in December.
Contrary to earlier rumors, the film's storyline will not be based on the India-Pakistan rivalry. Instead, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be seen taking on the enemies of the country. This will be Aditya Chopra's 8th production under the Yash Raj Films banner, which has previously produced blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathan, all of which featured male leads. However, this film will mark a departure from that trend, with Alia playing the lead role.
The film will be directed by Shiv Rawail, known for his work on The Railway Men, and will feature action sequences choreographed by Kasey O'Neill, who also worked on Pathan. The story is set between 2020 and 2024 and will explore themes of internal politics and challenges faced by the characters.
