Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy is making quite buzz, since the release of its trailer. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer film’s trailer went viral on the internet. Bollywood celebs like Ayushmann Khurrana, Anil Kapoor, Diana Penty among others have praised the trailer.. Now, Alia Bhatt's father and filmaker Mahesh Bhatt has shared his reaction after Gully Boy's trailer.

Alia Bhatt is getting praised for her performance in the trailer which looks promoning but his dad called him Gundi.  Sharing a snapshot of Alia wherein she mouthed the 'dhoptungi' dialogue and Ranveer called her 'gundi', Mahesh Bhatt tweeted, "Alia is a GUNDI ????."

The trailer of the film became the fodder for memes on social media. Zoya Akhtar directorial  Gully is inspired by the life of Mumbai street rappers, Naezy and Divine, who grew up in slums but went on to become leading rappers of the country. It is story of  a rapper and his journey from realising his love for rap, to chasing his dream, and to inadvertently transcending his class. Besides, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, it stars Vijay Raaz and Kalki Koechlin, is set to release on February 14.
