Lucknow: Aprofessor has been sent on leave after offering prayers on the campus of a college in Aligarh, Uttar Padesh. It is being told that the video of the professor offering namaz on the college campus had gone viral on social media. Since then, activists of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) have been protesting against it.
It is being told that the case pertains to Shri Varshney College in Aligarh. Here the video of Professor S R Khalid offering namaz in the lawn of the college had gone viral on social media. Since then, there has been a demand for action against them. Now, acting on the professor, he has been sent on a mandatory leave of 1 month. The spokesperson of the college informed the media that an inquiry has also been ordered in the matter. He said that some bjp yuva morcha workers had accused the professor of indiscipline and disturbing the atmosphere by offering namaz in a public place.
A complaint has also been lodged in the police station in this regard. At the same time, the police say that action will be taken in the matter only after receiving the report from the college administration. At the same time, student leader Deepak Sharma Azad said that the professors were trying to spoil the peaceful atmosphere by offering namaz inside the college premises.
