Aligarh: There has been an atmosphere of outrage in the entire town since the murder of  two and a half years girl in Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh. The Internet services have also been suspended till 5 pm on Tuesday (June 11).

District collector Chandra Bhushan Singh has issued an order to stop Internet services by late night in the area of Khair Tehsil on Monday (June 10). At the same time, section 144 has been installed in the entire tappal. The Internet facility offered by all mobile companies for maintaining peace and communal harmony in Aligarh has been extended from 12 p.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Tuesday and has issued instructions for winding up in the well-off area.

According to a release from the district magistrate's office, some miscreants are spreading rumours and sharing fake videos following the brutal murder of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl. Such posts may spoil the communal atmosphere of the area. DM Chandra Bhushan has said that Aligarh police is keeping a close watch on all such posts and will take stern action against the rumour mongers. Earlier on Sunday, the police continued to maintain peace in the Tappal throughout the day.
