Kochi: Corona infection cases have declined in Kerala in the last few days. Meanwhile, the Central Government has decided to start all colleges in Kerala following the Covid-19 Health Protocol. Now, after more than a year, all colleges will resume on Monday. According to the Centre's order, regular classes of third-year students will start soon.

Sajukumar, joint secretary of the state higher education department, said in order in September that classes would be started for the last semester of degree and graduation courses, but it was mandatory for students coming to join the class to be vaccinated. That means even after the college opens, only students who have taken both doses of the vaccine will be allowed to do regular classes. Regular classes for all batches will start from October 18. Classes will be introduced for the last semester of degree and graduation courses.

Looking at corona cases in Kerala, 12,297 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and 74 deaths have been reported. With the new case, the total number of corona cases has reached 47,20,233 and the death toll has gone up to 25,377. An official press release said that since Saturday, the number of people with infection cured was 16,333, taking the total number of recoverers to 45,57,199 and active cases to 137,043.
