The all-new BMW F 850 GS Adventure has been launched in India at ₹15.4 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike, which will arrive in India via the completely built-up units (CBU) route, is now available for bookings at BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country. The company added that it will offer the new BMW F 850 Adventure GS only with the Style Rallye package, which includes Golden anodised rim rings, Golden anodised upper front fork tube, and Sports windshield.

Riders can also choose between two riding modes, Rain and Road, which adapt the bike's riding characteristics in accordance to most road conditions.  Other standard provisions include automatic stability control (ASC), which ensures better safety. Interestingly, BMW Motorrad is also offering optional riding modes, namely Dynamic and Enduro along with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and ABS Pro.

BMW F 850 GS Adventure Specs

The new BMW F 850 GS Adventure is propelled by a 853 cc two-cylinder in-line engine that generates 93.87 bhp at 8,250 rpm and a peak torque of 86 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The motorcycle's new self-boosting anti-hopping clutch helps cut down engine drag torque and improves safety, especially when one is braking while downshifting. The added bonus is that powerful sound and you can thank the crankshaft journal offset of 90 degrees and firing interval of 270/450 degrees for it.

It sports a dynamic design, fitting for a bike aimed at enabling adventures. Some of its most notable features inlcude the asymmetric headlamp and the characteristic GS flyline, which starts from the front 'beak' and extends all the way to the rear. It also gets a high-positioned air intake, functionally-designed surfaces, engine protection bars, and stainless steel luggage rack that serve to enhance its sturdy character.

Considering that this is a BMW Motorrad bike, there is no dearth of features here. It gets LED head lights, LED daytime riding light, and LED turn indicators. Then there's also the low double seat, wide enduro footrests, and adjustable shift and foot brake levers. The BMW F 850 GS Adventure now gets a completely new instrument cluster design, comprising an analogue tachometer and a multifunctional display as well as various control lamps. The list of optionals includes a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display, which, with assistance from the BMW Motorrad multi-controller, empowers the rider with nifty access to both vehicle and connectivity functions. Furthermore, riders can also make use of the BMW Motorrad Connected app for arrow navigation directly via the TFT display.
