Vijyawada: Addressing a public meeting at Makeneni Basava Punnaiah Auditorium here on Tuesday,CPM politburo member BV Raghavulu said BJP goons ransacked the CPM's office in Tripura after former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar demanded implementation of poll promises in Tripura.  Raghavulu said that the growing discontent among the people against the Bharatiya Janata Party, the government is trying to fix the economy faster.

Instead of working hard, it is bent on handing over government assets like ports, railway stations, 3 lakh km of fibernet lines, 25 airports, 14,000 telephone towers and Visakhapatnam port to private corporate houses. China's economy is recovering fast. while the Indian economy is down to minus 9.2 per cent. Though the government is presenting figures to claim that the economy is growing rapidly, Raghavulu said the government is burdening people with more taxes at a time when they are suffering due to the pandemic.

After covid, all the countries around the world are recovering but the Indian economy is lagging behind. Coming down heavily on the ruling party at the Centre, Raghavulu said that the BJP is the real virus that has afflicted the country. CPM state secretary P Madhu on September 27 asked all political parties in the state, including YSR Congress and TDP, to participate in the Bharat Bandh.
