Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court has given an important verdict on the plea of the two girls to remain in live-in relationship. In the petition filed, both the women had sought protection. The family and society are opposing this relationship of young women. The court said that the morality of society cannot affect the decisions of the court.

The court said that it is the duty of the court to protect constitutional morality and the rights of the people. The court directed Superintendent of Police Shamli to provide protection to the petitioners, saying that they should not be disturbed by anyone. According to media reports, the order was passed by a division bench of Justice Shashikant Gupta and Justice Pankaj Bhatia while disposing of the petition filed by Sultana Mirza, resident of Timarshaha Mohalla of Shamli and resident of Vivek Vihar. The petitioners stated that they are adults. Both are working and also living in a live-in relationship for a long time. Its family and society are protesting, they are being harassed.

The Supreme Court of the country, while hearing in the Navtej Singh Johar case, has recognized homosexuality. According to the Supreme Court, a relationship between two homosexuals by mutual consent would not be considered a criminal act. Homosexuals also have equal rights as ordinary citizens. All people have the right to live with dignity.
