Allahabad High Court judge passes away from corona, committee set up to probe treatment

New Delhi: The death of late Justice VK Srivastava has become a big issue. Following the Allahabad High Court order, a three-member committee has now been constituted by the UP government in the state to probe the corona death of Justice VK Srivastava. A report has also been sought from that committee in 7 days.

The Allahabad High Court had directed the UP government to constitute a committee to look into the treatment of late Justice VK Srivastava etc. A senior pulmonologist of the SGPGI, an officer at the level of secretary and president of the Awadh Bar Association or senior advocate are on the committee. The court has asked the senior registrar of lucknow bench to submit a report within a week of examining the treatment of late judge VK Srivastava. Now the UP government has constituted a committee and also sought a report.

Allahabad High Court Judge Virendra Kumar Srivastava passed away due to corona infection. He was admitted to SPGI a few days ago. He was later admitted to Lohia Hospital on April 23. According to sources, they neither found attendants nor other facilities.
