Allahabad High Court reprimanded CMO for not maintaining proper records

Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court has taken a tough stance regarding the irregularities faced in the treatment of corona patients in Uttar Pradesh. The High Court heard the public interest litigation filed by the quarantine centres in distress and the Corona hospitals seeking better treatment. During this time, the court has directed to strictly follow social distancing in the state.

Along with this, the bench of Judge Siddharth Verma and Judge Ajit Kumar has also directed to deploy one officer in each district. The court has asked the officials to comply with the order issued by the Additional Chief Secretary on 6 August. The next hearing of the case will be held on August 17. The court has reprimanded CMO Prayagraj for not giving the investigation, investigation report on time to the corona patients in the district.

The court returned the affidavit filed on behalf of the CMO and asked to file a new affidavit again. The court commented on the work of the CMO office, that the work is not being done properly in the CMO office. The CMO is unable to maintain office records. During this time Additional Advocate General Manish Goyal has assured the court. He said that no patient will die on the road and proper treatment will be provided to all the patients.
