In an exciting development, 13 match officials have been appointed for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. This all-female panel, consisting of 10 umpires and three match referees, will oversee the tournament hosted by Bangladesh in the UAE.
Leading the experienced group is Claire Polosak, who has officiated in four previous Women’s T20 World Cups. Kim Cotton and Jacqueline Williams will also return for their fourth tournament, both having officiated the final match between Australia and South Africa in the last edition. Sue Redfern, who served as the TV umpire for that final, joins them for her fourth appearance as well. Notably, Zimbabwe's Sarah Dambanevana will make her debut as an umpire in this prestigious event.

The Women’s T20 World Cup will feature 10 teams competing in 23 matches for the coveted trophy. The tournament kicks off on October 3 with a thrilling opening match between Bangladesh and Scotland in Sharjah. Before the main event, each team will play two warm-up matches starting on September 28 to prepare for the competition.
