New Delhi: Since the country unlocked, sluggishness in the market including cashew nuts and almonds has remained sluggish. Barring minor fluctuations, there is no major upsurge in the prices of dry fruits. Before the applicable lockdown across the country and looking at the rate of last year, the nuts are being sold cheaper. But the opportunity to buy cheap nuts is now just a few days more.

If consider the talk of the traders sitting in Khari Baoli, Delhi, then the rate of dry fruits will increase after 15 days. Right now the almond which is being sold under Rs 600 can go up to Rs 700 kg. Khari Baoli, Delhi Market Association President Rajiv Batra has told the media that there is no customer in the market for a long time.

He has said that still, only 25 to 30% customers of dry fruits are visible in the market. A big reason for this is the effect of corona-lockdown but a big festival like Diwali has also come out. After a date, the customer will leave the market when its salary will come. Anyway, it is an old trend of the market that the entire month after the festival goes into recession.
