Pm Modi said in his blog, "Mother was as affectionate and caring for Abbas as much as she used to be with all of us brothers and sisters. Every year on the occasion of Eid, the mother used to cook the food of her choice. On festivals, it was normal for neighbourhood children to come to our house and enjoy the special preparations of mother. Whenever a sadhu would come to our neighbourhood, the mother would politely call them to our house for food. Let us know that today on the 100th birthday of his mother, PM Modi went to Gandhinagar and took the blessings of his mother. Praising the mother, the PM wrote, "In line with her selfless nature, she used to urge the sadhus to bless us children instead of asking for anything for themselves. She would request them, 'Bless my children to be happy in the happiness of others and empathise in their misery.' There should be devotion and service in them. '
