Srinagar: The Amarnath Shrine Board has issued a helpline number to facilitate the pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra starting from 1st of July. The helpline number 14464, in the control room to be set up at the office of the Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Board, will be active from 9 am to 6 pm on 12th to 28th June, while it will operate round the clock from 29th June.

According to the information, the Chairman of the Board and Governor Satyapal Malik took stock of other arrangements including the control room. The CEO of the Board told the Governor that apart from the helpline number, landline number 0194-2313146 and the respective website of the Shrine Board can be contacted for any travel related information. He said, for three lakh passengers, a cover of three lakh rupees will be provided in the Group Accidental Insurance Policy.
In addition, 33000 service providers will cover Rs.30,000 for Pithu, Dandiwala, Tented, Anchor Servicer, and 11500 Pauniwalas. Only registered passengers and ferry-owners will be given the benefit of the policy. Health facilities will be provided with necessary types of equipment at every two kilometers on the Yatra route.
