Jammu: The Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday said that the Amarnath Yatra will begin from June 30. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said the 43-day holy pilgrimage will begin on June 30. All covid rules will be taken care of due to the journey. He further said that traditionally the yatra will end on the day of Raksha Bandhan. In the meeting, several issues related to the trip were discussed.

Let us tell you that the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board had said in the past that the online registration of pilgrims for the Amarnath Yatra will start from April. The Shrine Board, while announcing the commencement of registration of pilgrims for the yatra through an online process from April, had said that RFID-based tracking will be done for the movement of pilgrims to the shrine in the Himalayan region of south Kashmir.

Additional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Amarnath Shrine Board, Rahul Singh, while reviewing the arrangements for the upcoming yatra in the wake of a high-level meeting chaired by Jammu Divisional Commissioner Raghav Langer, said, "The online registration for Amarnath Yatra will start in the month of April 2022 with a limit of 20,000 registrations per day." He said that on-spot registrations were also made at the designated counters during the yatra days. Will. Rahul Singh said that to ensure the safety of Amarnath pilgrims, the board has decided to use radio frequency identification (RFID) to monitor the movement of vehicles and pilgrims in the wake of this year's pilgrimage.
