Amazon has introduced a third-generation smart display, the Echo Show 5, with Alexa's voice assistant. The novelty has compact dimensions, its display diagonal is only 5.5 inches, and the price is $ 90. Recall that the second-generation Amazon Echo Show model released last fall is equipped with a 10.1-inch screen.

“ After we launched the first Echo Show device, customers told us that they like to ask Alexa to show them different things, be it banana bread recipe, shopping list or music lyrics. With Echo Show 5, it's even easier for customers to add smart displays to every room in their home,”said Tom Taylor, senior vice president, Amazon Alexa.

According to him, the compact form factor of the device is ideal for a bedside table or desk, plus it is equipped with a shutter on the HD camera for privacy and Alexa's new privacy features for even more control.

Echo Show 5 user will now be able to delete voice recordings, simply saying “ Alexa, delete everything I said today .” The device has a button to mute the microphone, camera and listening to Alexa voice assistant.

In addition to all the usual attributes of Amazon Echo, Echo Show will come with a new smart home control panel that will allow you to display the controls of smart home devices, such as thermostats, surveillance cameras, doorbells, etc.

The Amazon Echo 5 smart display is available today for pre-ordering on the Amazon website, the body color is white and black. The unit will ship next month to the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. In July, it will be available in India. The timing of the start of deliveries to Mexico is still unknown
