Amazon, the US company in India, has inaugurated its proprietary office building for the first time, the largest campus in the world. The campus is spread over 9.5 acres. This office has been built in Hyderabad because India is an important market and talent hub for the company. Outside the US, it is Amazon's only office, where about 62,000 employees will work. The facility of staff on this campus will be taken care of.

According to media reports, Amazon's founder and CEO Jeff Bezos announced a $2 billion investment in India in 2014 to beat domestic rival Flipkart and Paytm. The US company has so far invested more than $4 billion in the country and has become the largest hub for e-commerce. The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad has a full-fledged center of a company spread over 4 lakh sq ft, the largest Amazon center in India. It is planned to expand to an area of 5.8 lakh sqft by 2020. It uses one-to-one facilities ranging from destination control systems to elevators carrying 972 people at a time, 290 conference rooms and 3 locations on each floor.
