Now, the Odisha State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has pronounced the verdict in the student's face. The Commission is being told to pay Rs. 40,000 to the student as compensation for mental anguish and harassment. has ordered in. Not only that, the buyer has also been directed to pay Rs. 5,000 for punitive damages and litigation costs.

During the hearing in the case, the bench admitted that due to the negligence of the company, the student had to buy another laptop of Rs 22,899, which led to delay in completing his educational projects.
