The e-commerce company Amazon on Saturday said it had already begun work to add the Marathi language to its platform. Amazon already offers its e-commerce site in Hindi and a few other Indian languages apart from English. Thre user can change the language of the e-commerce website by clicking on the Indian flag besides the search bar.

 

Amazon took to Twitter to share the information. The tweet reads, “We are committed to enable Amazon online shopping experience across Indian languages including Marathi. Work has already begun to launch Marathi shopping experience & seller registration soon. We will continue to add more languages for enhanced customer & seller experience."

Meanwhile, An FIR has been filed allegedly against 8 to 10 Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers on Friday who vandalised the Amazon warehouse in Pune. MNS workers allegedly vandalised an Amazon warehouse in Pune's Kondhwa over a notice sent by a Mumbai court to Raj Thackeray, asking him to be present in court on January 5 over a controversy on adding Marathi language to the e-commerce platform.
